The Adele Craze

While your average 27 year old is probably still trying to establish their ‘purpose’ in life, Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, better known simply as Adele is not only busy selling records, but also writing her name in the history books as one of the world’s greatest women in music. She is a really big brand and who knows, maybe she contacted Excida.com  for help on how to remain on top and relevant to her huge following.

Mention the word Tottenham, North London, and you will be sure to attract the wrath of Arsenal fans worldwide. However, fans of Adele will be glad to know that it is here that their icon first breathed life, born in a world that she would not only enchant, but also subdue.

Her mother, Penny Adkins was just 18 when she gave birth to her and not even her could have imagine how special her little girl would turn out to be. Though her family had no music heritage, Adele developed a passion for music early on, leaning towards songs of Lauryn Hill, Destiny’s Child and Mary J Blige.

Adele is best known for her hit single, Hello, which needed only a little over 88 days to break the record of the fastest song to reach 1 billion views, previously held by Psy’s Gangnam Style. However, as the craze around her proves, Adele is so much more and not even the worst of critics can dare call her a one hit wonder.

She has provided so many wonderful moments on stage and her fans adore her. Her shows are well attended and fans travel far and wide, hopefully on shoes with comfortable insoles! Here, we look at some of the best moments in her career so far.

  1.   Her first commercial success! (2008)

Her first album, 19, named after her age, first brought her to the world’s attention, led by singles, “Chasing pavements” and “Hometown Glory”. Beginnings are special and always worth a mention. After all, the first cut is the deepest.

  1.   Grammy award ceremony, 2012

Mention Sunday, 12th February 2012 and Adele will surely sit back and smile nostalgically. After having a tumultuous 2011 where she underwent vocal cord surgery, she, on this day, collected six Grammy Awards and in the process equalled the record of most Grammy awards won by a female artist in one night. For sure you would need nice spenco insoles on your journey in search for musicians on her level.

  1.   “Rolling in the Deep success” (2013)

In this year, “Rolling in the Deep” became the second song in digital history to sell 8 million copies after “I Gotta Feeling” from The Black Eyed Peas, helping her maintain her position at the top.

  1.   Hello from the other side (2015)

From her third album, 25, one song stood out from the rest, “Hello” is not simply a song, it carries with it a message that so many people relate with. It is not a surprise therefore that it has not only garnered unprecedented views online, but it has also provided one of the ways to get people noticing you online; doing a Hello cover  (probably in your language)! Letting a well-respected real estate website builder get your site online is another one.
